About Us

Nadi and I (Nathan) met at the end of 2010. We both came to work at a pub called the Wellington Arms Hotel in between Reading and Basingstoke in England. We spent a lot of time together living in the staff accommodation and got to know that we shared so many common views on the world and life. We were both searching for our freedom in  a world that constantly wants to tie you down. And with each other we found it.

Nadi is from a small in village in the east of Slovakia. I have spent much time there since we have been together, and had been through Slovakia even before we met and it is a truly underrated gem in the heart of Europe. Sandwiched between Poland, Hungary, Austria, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic it is often overlooked for it's more famous neighbors. For such a small country though it is packed with natural beauty, and also famous for it's beautiful women! She left home in 2008 to find her place in the world, Nadi knew that to reach her dreams, she would have to go out and catch them. So between then and when I met her, she learnt English, spent time traveling the UK, Italy and Egypt. Which are still some of her favourite countries.

Nathan is from North Queensland, Australia. A vastly overrated country. It's expensive, the distances between places is great, and it is too far away from anywhere. I find it very isolated from the rest of the world, self-centred and incredibly over regulated and restricted. I was very excited to leave and get to know the great world around us. I had come to realise a safe and secure life of work, family and routine was not for me. So I spent 10 months floating around Europe with no plans or deadlines. Traveling without an itinerary leaves you open for chance encounters and random opportunities. Little did I know part of what I was looking for was someone who I could share an amazing life with, and someone who would not only accept my crazy ideas but help bring them to life, I found her. Nadi is my kindred spirit, and we compliment each other perfectly. We know together we can accomplish anything we set our hearts too. And we have happily drifted from place to place together ever since.

Together we have been to over 30 countries. Life is too short to be saving for a rainy day, rainy days can be the most fun!
